Plastic Injection

Plastic injection, also known as injection molding, is a widely used manufacturing process. It involves melting plastic pellets and injecting the molten plastic into a mold under high pressure. As the plastic cools and solidifies within the mold, it takes on the shape of the mold cavity.The process typically begins with designers creating a 3D model of the desired part using CAD software. Then, a mold is fabricated, usually made of steel or aluminum, which has the negative form of the component along with features like sprues, runners, gates, and vents. Plastic pellets are fed into the hopper of an injection molding machine and are heated and melted in a barrel by a revolving screw. The molten plastic is then injected through a nozzle into the mold cavity, filling it completely and forcing out any air. After cooling and solidifying, the mold is opened, and the finished plastic part is ejected. This process is highly efficient and is suitable for mass - producing complex - shaped plastic parts with high precision, which are widely used in various industries such as automotive, electronics, and consumer goods.
