Recently, at a seminar on intelligent upgrades for Agricultural Machinery organized by the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs, technological breakthroughs in high-end gears, core transmission components for agricultural machinery, became a key topic driving the industry's intelligent transformation. Several companies showcased their new generation of gear products, injecting new momentum into the high-quality development of the agricultural machinery industry.

 

Previously, my country's high-horsepower agricultural machinery relied on imports for high-end gears. This not only resulted in high procurement costs but also long maintenance cycles and limited adaptability, hindering the intelligent upgrade of agricultural machinery. In recent years, domestic companies have increased their R&D investment, achieving breakthroughs in core technologies such as material formulation and precision Machining. For example, a gear company in Shandong has developed intelligent, sensor-based high-end gears that collect transmission data in real time and provide feedback to agricultural machinery control systems, improving operating accuracy by 15% and reducing energy consumption by 8%. These gears are currently being mass-produced for domestically produced tractors over 400 horsepower.

 

With the accelerated localization of high-end gears, the stability of the agricultural machinery industry chain and supply chain has been significantly enhanced. According to industry data, by the first half of 2025, the localization rate of core components for intelligent agricultural machinery in my country will increase by 9 percentage points compared to the same period last year, driving the market penetration of high-end agricultural machinery to 32%. Officials from the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs stated that technological breakthroughs in high-end gears not only address bottlenecks in agricultural machinery transmission systems but also propel agricultural machinery from mechanization to intelligence, providing critical support for the full mechanization and precision of grain production.

 

Going forward, the industry will continue to focus on areas such as gear material iteration and intelligent sensor integration, promoting the adaptation of more high-end gear products to unmanned agricultural machinery and smart agricultural equipment, further unleashing the empowering effect of core components on the agricultural machinery industry.
